Note on Book-Reading

Still lots of books left!
I'm making progress through my books... I've read and written of about a dozen of them now.   Just a few more and I'll have a boxful to send on.

I'm thinking though.... I've been pretty much writing about books I like for one reason or another, but which don't need to stay on my shelves.  I think I might start reading some of the books I think I DO want to keep on my shelves, and blog about them, too.  I have all winter -- we are still enveloped in snow.  Two feet of snow in November!  That is unusual for up here.  I'm glad we got those 8 cords of firewood!

The four TAC students went back to TAC -- high school son returned to high school, and tomorrow the other college student will return to his classes at college.

And the three homeschoolers got back to their studies today.  Everything seems to be going well with homeschooling this year, but I have gotten behind on writing lesson plans for the high schooler.  I knew that might be a problem during the winter months.  Anyway, lesson plans or no, he seems to be learning.   I'm glad once again for Homeschool Connections -- it's filling in various little gaps in my plans.  And I have fun previewing the lessons, which is a good sign too.

  1. I haven't been commenting as you go along, for which I apologize, but I just wanted to let you know that I've been enjoying your Notes-on-the-Bookshelf series. It's been interesting to hear what the high points (and low points) of each volume are. Thanks for taking the time to share all of your notes.
