I've pegged a catechism time onto our breakfast/Lord of the Rings time. Since our school-time has become more, well, schooly, I've made catechism much simpler with no real lesson plans. I decided that if I read Living My Religion grade 3, targeted towards Paddy, that Kieron could listen for review and discussion purposes. This is actually working pretty well and our breakfast hour, usually attended with muffins or quick bread or breakfast cookies, has become a simple Morning Time. Interesting that so often something I try to plan just becomes over-complicated and never happens, and then when there is a real need for it in the day, it evolves naturally.
