One of the reasons he was so effective was that he kept things simple. I like that -- simple is good! -- but I'm rambling -- we have visitors here right now and this evening we had homemade pepperoni pizza, and a banana cake with cream cheese frosting -- turned out pretty well considering it was the first time I'd tried the recipe.Happy birthday Brendan!
(and RIP Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson, two icons of my generation. Which probably dates me! I hadn't known Farrah Fawcett was a Catholic until I heard that she had received the last rites a couple of days ago).
I love these thoughts on simplicity. One of the reasons I struggle so much with faith is that I overthink things. :-)
